Yep, we had a female which stopped with us for a couple of months. She spent most of the time on a suet block, but she did also regularly take sunflower hearts. She left about a week ago. 2 winters ago a Lesser Whitethroat was much less likely to take sunflower hearts & was virtually clamped to the suet block for 4 months!

For two years running (Jan through to early March) we have had both male and female regularly taking sunflower hearts and on the fatball feeder.

The only Blackcap I have seen in my garden was on the Sunflower Hearts then off. I have had Goldfinches every day for over 12 months they love them.

Sadly I've never had a blackcap in my garden – yet. I do have plenty of goldfinches and they love the sunflower hearts but they won't touch niger seeds.
